Berlin: Several houses have been marked with the Star of David

In Berlin, numerous residential buildings were daubed with Stars of David. The events are reminiscent of dark times in German history. Affected Jewish residents describe fear and helplessness. Hamas recently called for global violence against Jews.

Unknown people sprayed a Star of David on a building in Prenzlauer Berg on Thursday evening. This was first reported by Bild reporter Antonia Yamin on X. The Berlin police confirmed that the Police State Security is now investigating on suspicion of incitement to hatred.

She spoke to a resident of the house, Yamin wrote in the post, which was written in Hebrew. They called the police, but only received the answer that they should report it online. Also: “They advised me to remove the Star of David because leaving it at the door could cause further reactions,” she was told.


Stars of David on houses where Jews live - something that is otherwise only known from books about the darkest time in German history is now becoming a bitter reality again in Berlin. All over the city, residents are discovering graffiti on house walls and doors - Stars of David, sometimes with other symbols.

As Apollo News learned exclusively, several houses in the Berlin-Kreuzberg district are affected - more precisely on Paul-Lincke-Ufer. There, stars with five corners were sprayed on - as the police reported to passers-by, it is assumed that these pentagrams represent Stars of David because of the presumably Arabic symbols on the house wall.

When contacted by Apollo News, the police said that “Stars of David had been placed on Paul-Lincke-Ufer, but with the triangles in the wrong arrangement.” There were also graffiti in Hebrew script. It was written translated as “exist and live”. For this reason, it is unclear whether this is pro- or anti-Israel graffiti. This is now the subject of the investigation.
