142 more refugees from Greece landed in Germany


Another 142 migrants from Greece landed at Hanover Airport.

According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, there are 35 families. They will now be distributed to other federal states from Lower Saxony. With the newcomers, Germany has taken in more than 1,400 migrants from Greece since April.

In March the federal government initially decided to allow 243 sick children with close family members to enter the country. After the fire in the Moria refugee camp on Lesbos, the acceptance of around 1,550 further recognized refugees and 150 unaccompanied minors was promised.
