Pro-censorship UK group plan to make Facebook censor Steve Bannon

A UK group that calls itself "The Real Facebook Oversight Board" announced that its first campaign will be to get Steve Bannon banned from Facebook.

The group, which feels the official Facebook Oversight Board doesn't go far enough in their efforts to censor, is made up of activists backed by George Soros.

The National Pulse reports that "the group – which has stated its aims surrounding the U.S. election and U.S. politics – is based in the United Kingdom and includes a number of high-profile, far-left activists known for promoting fake news stories and disinformation, especially around the Brexit campaign and aftermath."

The group, according to the Pulse, is financially backed by an organization called Luminate, which was founded by Pierre Omidyar. Omidyar is a famous "Never Trumper" and has close ties to the Lincoln Project and other anti-Trump organizations. Luminate is also closely connected to George Soros's Open Society Foundation.

The group itself has stated that Facebook's real Oversight Board is "little more than a corporate whitewashing exercise," and proposes to "make noise" so that Facebook and other big tech giants are cowed into suppressing viewpoints they consider unacceptable.

“We will use stunts, viral video, celebrity endorsement and skillful media management to throw a spotlight on the real-time threats to democracy from the misuse of social media platforms and big tech. We know how to make a noise. Democracy needs its own PR team and creative agency. We are it.”

Members of the pro-"democracy" group include people such as disgraced journalist Carole Cadwalladr, who has been caught more than once lying to the public, and equally disgraced former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, who famously made up a fake dossier during the Russiagate scandal.
