Tony Blair: Labor Party has to take a clear line against “woke” politics

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair (Labor) has called on his party to take a clear position against “woke” ideas. Instead of focusing on the ideology dedicated to the fight against racism and discrimination against minorities, it must focus on becoming a workers' party again, Blair said, according to the Daily Mail.

The approval ratings for the Labor Party, of which he was once chairman, have deteriorated increasingly in recent years. The reason for this is a lack of loyalty to the working class, whose demands are less and less heard in the party.

Blair: Party leader Starmer has to marginalize “woke” flow
A tumult on the left has never brought the Labor Party any further. Party leader Keir Starmer must therefore push “woke” currents as far as possible to the sidelines. This is the only way for the party to regain power.

According to a poll by the polling institute Deltapoll, the Labor Party lost more than eleven million voters in the last parliamentary election in 2019. Around 5.5 million voters are said to have chosen the Conservatives instead.
