Mass brawl in Essen: Disputes between Muslim family clans

After a mass brawl involving several hundred people in Essen's Altendorf district, a 30-year-old was seriously injured. Apparently he was stabbed. At least two other people involved were also injured. According to the police, there are indications that a dispute between two Muslim family clans was the trigger for the brawl.

The clans attacked each other between Helenenstraße and Siemensstraße with everything they could find - including furniture and crockery, but also knives and sticks. The seriously injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance. One of the two slightly injured was already wanted by the police because of a robbery. The man was arrested.
