Mass brawl at Berlin outdoor pool: Attackers injured eleven people
The reason for the escalation was a dismissal for a group of twelve, which also included the three later arrested. They were involved in a fight. Shortly thereafter, however, the men aged 19 to 24 returned to the outdoor pool and specifically attacked the security service. Four employees were injured, as well as an employee of a rescue service and six bathers.
Police union warns of outdoor pool gangs
The alarmed police were able to track down the three suspected attackers near the bathing establishment. When officers searched their vehicle, they found a baton, a baseball bat and a knife. The weapons were confiscated. The three young men are now being investigated for serious breach of the peace.
This summer, outbreaks of violence in Berlin swimming pools repeatedly made headlines. In this context, the German police union warned against migrant outdoor pool gangs. It was only in June that there was a fight in a Berlin outdoor pool, in which around a hundred migrants took part.
