Migrants deliver a mass brawl in Berlin's outdoor pool

Berlin - Around a hundred migrants were involved in a mass fight in a Berlin outdoor pool on Sunday. "According to the current state of knowledge, two groups consisting of four and ten people are said to have sprayed each other with water pistols for fun. Then a verbal and then a physical argument is said to have developed," the police said on Monday. The security personnel initially failed to stop the mainly migrant brawlers.

A video that is circulating on the Internet shows the scenes in the outdoor pool. It features numerous young men yelling at each other and eventually attacking each other.

The police moved in with 13 vehicles and parts of a hundred units. After the incident, they are investigating four suspects between the ages of 15 and 23. One of them is said to have hit a security guard at the pool, who then had to be treated on an outpatient basis. A ten-year-old boy who got caught in the raging crowd was also injured with a blow to the head.

This is not the first incident of this kind that has prompted the police. An increased number of sexual assaults in outdoor pools has also caused outrage in recent years. A Düsseldorf swimming pool had imposed an ID requirement in response to aggressive migrants. In the past, the swimming pool association has called for tough action against violent offenders.
