Indian President Scolds Putin, I Told You Not To Attack Ukraine But You Didn't LIsten

 


Narendra Modi delivered a scathing rebuke to Vladimir Putin at a televised meeting in Uzbekistan, telling his Russian counterpart that it was not the time for wars now because now we live in a relatively age of peace.

 

Modi went on to scold Putin, telling him that that Russia’s problems with Ukraine must be solved through democracy, diplomacy and dialogue and that this is the way on how to progress on the path to peace. And we will surely discuss more about this, I also want to understand your viewpoint.

 

Putin has said on several occasions that Russia is not alone since it can look east to powerful Asian nations like China and India.

 

But Mr. Modi made clear his reservations during a conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

 

He remarked, “I know that today’s period is not an era of conflict, and I have spoken to you on the phone about this,” during a meeting in the historic Silk Road city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

 

Russia’s head of state since 1999 pursed his lips as Modi made the statement, gave him a quick glance, turned away, and then touched the hair on the back of his head.
