Germany: The number of illegal entries is increasing drastically

Germany is groaning under a new asylum crisis. Figures from the federal police, which only record part of the illegal migration, now show how strong the increase in unauthorized entries is. The AfD interior expert Martin Hess sees social peace in danger and demands consequences.

Berlin - The number of illegal entries increased significantly in 2022 compared to the previous year. By December 15 of this year, the federal police had registered 87,692 unauthorized entries, according to a request from AfD member of parliament Martin Hess. In the same period last year there were 55,104.

The majority (around 72,000) were found at the state borders of the Federal Republic. More than 11,000 illegal immigrants entered the country by air and 681 by sea. However, the figures only include some of the people who entered the country illegally. Many are not picked up by the federal police, but by the police of the federal states.

AfD sees social peace in danger
AfD interior expert Hess now raises serious allegations against the federal government to Junge Freiheit: “The figures are proof that the all-round carefree package of the traffic light [coalition] continues to make our country a lucrative destination for migrants living in poverty. That has to stop."

Hess called for incoming asylum seekers to be given benefits in kind instead of money. “That would prevent the majority of illegal immigrants from continuing to immigrate to our social systems.” With their policy, the traffic light coalition risks “social peace in society and constantly demonstrates weakness and indifference”. He warned Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) to “initiate a deportation offensive for illegal migrants” and to better protect the borders.

Germany will take in more people this year, including the refugees from Ukraine, than in 2015 or 2016. The number of Syrians and Afghans in particular is increasing significantly. The number of deportations, on the other hand, remains at a low level. Many municipalities are already groaning under the onslaught.
