Iraqi after Linz knife attack in Austria: "She ran into my knife"

After the knife attack in Linz, the suspected Iraqi breaks his silence. He did not intentionally stab his partner and only accidentally mowed the two police officers with the car.

Linz - The Iraqi, who is said to have stabbed his partner and injured two police officers last week, has commented on the allegations for the first time. Everything is very different. "She ran into my knife," said the suspect, according to the Austrian newspaper Oe24.

He also did not want to run over the two police officers. The car "broke out" of him. He only took their weapons from them in order to later take his own life. The Iraqi also stated that he was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. According to the APA news agency, the result of a blood analysis is still pending.

Suspect ran over two police officers
The arrest of the migrant on Monday last week was preceded, among other things, by a police chase. The Iraqi initially injured his Romanian partner in her apartment with three stab wounds. Her eleven-year-old daughter attacked the man and probably saved her mother's life.

The suspect then drove to his girlfriend's workplace and threatened one of her work colleagues there. He then fled and ran over two police officers, seriously injuring one of the officers. The Iraqi also fled with a stolen assault rifle. After shots are said to have been fired, the perpetrator was stopped around twelve o'clock. The authorities are currently investigating on suspicion of triple murder against him.
