Narcissism in Diversity? Or is it Hatred in Diversity? Or Both?

Have you ever heard certain people complaining (now that’s a first) that whether it is a job, a University, an organization, a TV program, etc…, that the people within those entities “…do not look like me….thus they should hire/admit more people who look like me…” Have you ever thought what exactly do they mean by that? Do they mean that they want an identical twin within those entities? A soulmate? A person with the same height? Same weight? People who conform to one standard way of thought? Same skin colour? (If yes, are they insinuating that [for example] all black people or all Chinese people look the same?). This is such a vague statement that it can mean practically anything, and resulting in the endless search to nowhere.

But more significantly, how narcissistic and arrogant is it that for them to demand that everyone else “look like” them? What makes them think that their looks are so appealing that everyone must look like them? Demanding that everyone look like a member of the African Race is no different than demanding that everyone look like a member of the Aryan Race.

On top of this demand that everybody in power “look like them”, this vanity goes hand-in-hand with hatred of people who do not “look like them”. So it’s not just that everybody in power must be black/brown, but it is compounded with the hatred of whites and Asians.

Ultimately, this is just another form of supremacy; and with that feeling of supremacy, it has historically resulted in causing grave harm to their adversaries.

Sound familiar?
