51-year-old German stabbed during Christmas Eve by Syrian refugee


The contemplative hours on Christmas Eve in Aue ended for a 51-year-old with a stab wound: In an argument, an attacker grabbed a sharp object. The man had to go to the hospital.

At a Christmas party in a rectory in Aue-Bad Schlema (Erzgebirgskreis), a 51-year-old German man was seriously injured by a another man with a pointed object. According to the police in Chemnitz on Wednesday, there was initially a dispute during the gift giving on Christmas Eve at the celebration for the needy.

A 53-year-old man had to be called to order several times by the organizers.

A short time later, several men appeared in the rectory. There were further clashes, which then escalated into assaults against a 34-year-old man. A 51-year-old German wanted to settle the dispute but he was stabbed in the process. He was taken to a hospital. The police could not give any information about his condition.

34-year-old suffered minor injuries
The 34-year-old suffered minor injuries. The police are currently investigating the exact motives of the crime, the weapon and the currently unknown men involved in the dispute.

According to the police, the 53-year-old who got involved in the attack event was a Syrian citizen and the 34-year-old was an Iranian citizen.
