Brazil: Bolsonaro tested positive for Covid-19

President Jair Bolsonaro said on Monday to supporters, upon returning to the official residence of the Palácio da Alvorada, that he underwent a lung radiography and an examination to detect covid-19. He left the Planalto Palace with fever and body aches.

"I'm avoiding [getting close to people] that I came from the hospital now. I did a lung check. The lung is clean, okay? I'm going to do the covid exam just now, but it's okay," said Bolsonaro last night, while using a mask when talking to supporters.

"You can't get very close, no. That's the recommendation for everyone," said Bolsonaro when he got out of the official car.

Afterwards, Bolsonaro's publicist released the following note: "President Jair Bolsonaro conducted a covid-19 test at a Brasília hospital. The result of the test will be known on Tuesday afternoon."

At least two ministers who have been with Bolsonaro in the past few days, Rogério Marinho (Regional Development) and José Levi (Advocacy General of the Union) are expected to undergo tests this Tuesday.
