The Democrats and the Klan: A Comparison on Black Homicides

I recently did some research in regards to black homicide victims by means of: historical lynching in the US versus black homicide victims in 2018 in the US. As a starting point, there is no precise count of lynchings, and the numbers vary depending on the sources and the years considered. But my research relied on two credible studies cited below.

Below are some basic statistics:

2018 homicides of blacks in the US: 

• 14,123 total homicides, of which 7,407 were blacks
• 7,407 black victims ÷ 12 months = 617 black victims/month (average)

Black lynching victims (Equal Justice Initiative):¹

• 4,084 black lynchings from 1877 to 1950 (73 years; 876 months)
• 4,084 black lynching victims ÷ 876 months = 4.66 black lynching victims/month (average)
• 4.66 black lynching victims/month x 12 months = 56 black lynching victims/year (average)
• 4,084 black lynching victims ÷ 617 (average # of black homicide victims in 2018) = 6.6 months (average)

Sub-conclusions:

• It took 73 years (876 months) for 4,084 black lynchings under white supremacy
• It took 6.6 months for 4,084 black homicides despite Democratic leadership of every major City²
• At this homicide rate, 7,407 black homicide victims/year x 73 yrs = 540,711 black homicides

Black lynching victims (Tuskegee Institute):³

• 3,446 black lynching victims from 1882 to 1968 (86 years; 1,032 months)
• 3,446 black lynching victims ÷ 1,032 months = 3.34 black lynching victims/month (average)
• 3.34 black lynching victims/month x 12 months = 40.1 black lynching victims/year (average)
• 3,446 black lynching victims ÷ 617 (average # of black homicide victims in 2018) = 5.6 months (average)

Sub-conclusions:

• It took 86 years (1,032 months) for 3,446 black lynchings under white supremacy
• It took 5.6 months for 3,446 black homicides despite Democratic leadership of every major City
• At this homicide rate, 7,407 black homicide victims/year x 86 years = 637,002 black homicides

Conclusion
Any form of supremacy is bad, and any loss of life is tragic. That being said, the ratio of black homicides (despite Democratic City rule) to that of those under white supremacy is:

• 154 to 1 (based on the Equal Justice Initiative numbers), and
• 205 to 1 (based on the Tuskegee Institute numbers).

Basically, there have been substantially more black homicides under Democrats than under their young sibling the Klan. Hardly an endorsement for wokeness. To hell with both of them!
