Thessaloniki: "Rich" the findings of the police in the occupied building - See photos

The building has been under occupation since February 2004 - Site searches, in the presence of a court official

Containers with flammable material, improvised explosive devices, crackers and a multitude of helmets are among the police findings so far in the building that has been under occupation since February 2004 in the center of Thessaloniki.

In the occupied building (Terra Incognita), owned by AUTh, at the junction of Taskou Papageorgiou and Olympou streets, a police operation is underway since early this morning, in the presence of a court official.

So far, a variety of materials have been found on the premises of the building and confiscated, such as:

• containers with flammable material,
• improvised explosive devices
• gauze wrapped in wicks and paraffin plates,
• crackers adapted to gas canisters, >
• a multitude of torches, crackers and naval flares,
• a multitude of helmets, fire extinguishers and asphyxiating masks,
• military type knife,
• wooden shields with internal handle,
• poles,
• fake police ID,
• desktop computer,
• laptop computer,
• old typewriter,
• large size printing machine and
• paper cutting machine,
• amount of money (1,500) euros, and
• financial contribution book.

 The investigations in the premises of the building continue and a new update from EL.AS will follow.

Preliminary investigation is carried out by the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki.
