France: Policewoman seriously injured in knife attack by Islamist - he is mentally ill, of course

In France, a policewoman was seriously injured by a knife attack.

The perpetrator fled with the woman's service weapon and was later killed in an exchange of fire with the police. While on the run, he took a young woman hostage. According to Interior Minister Darmanin, the French-born man was known to be an Islamist threat. He is said to have suffered from severe schizophrenia.
