Germany: Trans visibility day for children

ARD and Kinderkanal show in the Sunday morning program how "Erik" suddenly became "Katja".

ARD and Kinderkanal broadcast a very special show of "Die Maus" this Sunday. Because March 31 is the day for "Trans*Visibility", the editors came up with something special: A man who is now a woman explains to the children what a "Transwoman" is all about. And that in the Sunday morning program between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

At the beginning of the show, moderator Christoph Biemann greeted the little viewers from a rainbow bench between LGBT flags and prepared them to soon meet an “old acquaintance”. What was meant was the homeless Erik. For 20 years, the "loafer" - as he called himself - traveled through the country with his suitcase.

"Die Maus" also helped to end the turbulent life. The team showed the man with the grey-blond beard, long hair and hat how to look for an apartment at the social welfare office. Erik last left the children's program when he was wallpapering his new home.

After another story we meet the "mooring maker" again, that's the name of a homeless person who has settled down. Presenter Siham El-Maimouni announces as soon as the doorbell rings that something has happened. Not Erik, but Katja likes it. "Katja" then also meets "Die Maus" presenter: with long blonde hair, shaved, with painted nails and in women's clothes.

"I didn't know Katja at all," begins El-Maimouni. Yes, it "developed afterwards", explains Katja/Erik. "You're a trans woman, can you explain to us exactly what that means?" "It's easy to explain: you're born with male sex organs, i.e. with a penis, but you know deep down: you're not. I am a woman."

There are no comments on the fact that Erik actually said that Katja only "developed afterwards". Instead, we look into his childhood. Even then he would have had the feeling that he was in the wrong body. "I just liked the way they [the girls] dress, the clothes, the hair, the way they act — it was all me." He wanted to look, act like 'them'. Always mark the "strong Max" as a boy, that didn't suit him.

As a child, he didn't dare to talk to others about it, it was bad. According to El-Maimouni, he kept the secret to himself all his life, only sometimes secretly he would put on clothes and make-up. With the apartment he can now "be Katja every day".

The moderator does not explain to the children how the 20 years of very masculine life outdoors, with camping and ascetic life on the air mattress and in the tent fit together. Instead, she leads into Katja's bathroom and make-up room with all the accessories. He is "vain at times," explains the same person who walked unshaven in public for years.

“Katja likes to wear skirts and dresses. Everyone should see that she is a woman,” explains El-Maimouni, “Totally public and visible to everyone.” Then he shows his pumps collection. Finally, the children are told how to change their name and gender via a court decision. You are at the mercy of strangers, and it is then when you know who you are. This includes a new birth certificate. Now no one can claim that he is a man. "A special and lovely visit," concludes El-Maimouni.

After that follows a story - about a princess who wants to be a knight.

New life plans are only cool if they fit into the ideology. The bourgeois transbourgeoisie is just more acceptable than the wild vagabond life. That, too, is a form of new-left bourgeois thinking. Coincidence that after the public broadcasting stole his identity from the homeless man, he had to reinvent himself?

Why, however, children of preschool age are molested with this ideological assault is on a completely different piece of paper. It's not a joke or a factual story - but rather a reason for a program complaint.
