Germany: Up to 90 percent of corona patients only have corona as a second diagnosis

90 percent of the supposed corona patients in the Frankfurt University Hospital are not in the hospital because of corona. Other clinics in Hesse, but also in Berlin and Karlsruhe, show a similar picture.

The clear majority of the supposed corona patients do not come to the hospital because of corona, reports the Frankfurt University Hospital. This is reported by the Hessenschau. “Hardly any people come to our clinics because of a Covid 19 disease, they come because of other problems and then a Covid disease is diagnosed more or less by chance in the swab test on admission,” explained Maria Vehreschild, Head of Infectious Diseases .

Vehreschild estimated the proportion of these patients at 90 percent, both in the intensive care unit and in the normal ward. They would have little or no symptoms. The Hessenschau presented Frankfurt as an "exception". The University Hospital in Marburg and Gießen announced that this only applies to around 70 to 80 percent. The Fulda Clinic assumed that around “half” of all patients were actually in the clinic because of Corona.

In Berlin they want to stick to the wrong numbers
If such high numbers are already considered "normal", then it is questionable what the alleged statistics about corona patients in intensive care units still say. In Denmark, such numbers games had started a scandal that led to the end of the measures in the northern neighboring country. In Germany, on the other hand, the manipulation is talked about nicely.

A similar picture is also emerging in Berlin . Around 100 corona patients are currently in the intensive care units there. At Vivantes they explain: Only 30 percent of them are really in the hospital because of this, the majority are there with Corona as a secondary diagnosis. Der Tagesspiegel assumes that the findings at the Charité are similar. Apparently, this newspaper is now beginning to question the official figures. The Berlin Senate, on the other hand, wants to stick to the wrong numbers.

In Karlsruhe, too, research by Die Welt reporter Tim Röhn revealed that 80 percent of the patients only had corona as an "accompanying disease".
