Germany: Scholz will receive more than 30,000 euros per month from July

Because the diets of the members of the Bundestag will increase by 310.40 euros on July 1st, the Federal Chancellor will earn more than 30,000 euros a month for the first time.

Berlin - This is reported by Bild (Thursday edition), citing a list by the Bundestag's scientific service for the AfD member of the Bundestag, Rene Springer. According to this, Olaf Scholz (SPD) will receive a total of 30,139.81 euros per month as a member of parliament and Federal Chancellor. Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) will in future receive 25,573.08 euros, just like many other ministers.

The SPD ministers Nancy Faeser (interior) and Christine Lambrecht (defence), on the other hand, continue to receive 20,425.57 euros per month because they do not have a Bundestag mandate. Rene Springer said: "While politicians treat themselves to a monthly diet increase, the inflation-plagued employees are fed off with a measly one-off payment and pensioners are completely forgotten."

According to the German pension insurance, the average monthly pension in Germany in 2020 was only 989 euros per month.
