Israel declares a “state of war” after Hamas attack


The drama of this Saturday, a holiday that is actually dedicated to the “joy of the Torah” (Simchat Torah), is unfolding before the eyes of the nation: Israelis can follow the cries for help from their compatriots from the south live on television. Residents of small towns on the border with the Gaza Strip, into which Palestinian terrorists invaded in large numbers this morning.

Channel 12, for example, features a woman from Kibbutz Sufa who is sitting in a shelter with her family: “They are shooting at our house, they are trying to break down the door to the shelter,” she says and begs: “Send help, please!” A woman from Sderot reports on Channel 11 and says that the terrorists were knocking on doors; Residents opened the door thinking it was the army and were then kidnapped.

Palestinian authorities announced that around 200 people were killed and more than 1,600 people were injured in the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli military shelling. According to the Israeli armed forces, Palestinian militants had been trying to enter Israel by land, air and sea since early morning, and many have been stopped.

Hamas targets civilians
Israeli citizens were kidnapped in some places and taken to the Gaza Strip. The situation remained confusing even in the afternoon. The number of victims is expected to continue to rise throughout the day.


Many women (civilians and female soldiers) have been kidnapped, their corpses desecrated. Terrorists chanting "Allahu Ackbar".

Several left-wing politicians remained silent about the barbaric attacks and decided to show their support for the Palestinian cause, instead.

The German government sent more more than 340 million euros for humanitarian aid and development to the Palestinians for 2021 and 2022.
