Trump and his campaign circles have ties to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute through donors and affiliated PACs. Over the last few years: Several Trump-aligned figures joined the foundation’s advisory or donor networks, subtly steering its messaging. The foundation has since restricted some Reagan archives and speeches online, reportedly citing “copyright or licensing management” reasons —but critics say it’s about controlling Reagan’s legacy narrative. That’s why many clips and transcripts that used to be easily available via the National Archives or YouTube disappeared or were geo-blocked.
