Bloomberg just called it. Canada is acting like the EU's 28th member state — and the receipts are undeniable. While Trump was threatening tariffs and calling Canada the "51st state," Mark Carney was quietly signing defence agreements with 27 European nations, becoming the first non-European leader ever invited to a European Political Community summit, and locking Canada into a €150 billion EU defence fund that no country outside Europe had ever accessed before.
