France: Islamists control 150 districts

The Directorate General for Internal Security (DGSI) at the French Ministry of the Interior has published a list of 150 districts and so-called "micro-territories" that are in fact under the control of Islamists. The newspaper L’Observateur reports with reference to research by Le Journal du Dimanche and a message on the police portal actu17.fr.

Several northern sectors would be mentioned in this document, including the agglomeration of Denain. There are also Roubaix and Maubeuge which are there in the department. On this map are cited the suburbs of Paris, Marseille and Lyon, as well as the districts of Annemasse (Haute-Savoie), Bourg-en-Bresse and Oyonnax (Ain) or even Bourgoin-Jallieu (Isère).

The document is a kind of preparatory work for a plan to combat so-called communitarism (Communautarisme), which the government wants to present in March, writes L’Observateur. In France, this term describes the self-differentiation of religious, mostly Islamic communities from the rest of society.
