Germany: Leftist candidate warns of "climate holocaust"

HAMBURG. The left candidate for the Hamburg elections, Tom Radtke, has warned of a "climate holocaust". On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz extermination camp, Radtke wrote on Facebook that the Holocaust was "one (sic!) Of the greatest crimes in World War II". In addition, however, "The Nazis are also among the greatest climate polluters, because their war of extermination and their tanks have produced huge amounts of CO2. Many politicians say that this must not be repeated. But what are they doing about the climate holocaust, which is killing millions of people and animals right now? ”
One has to "stop global warming now so that a Holocaust does not happen again," warned the 18-year-old student, who is running for the Left Party for the election of the Hamburg citizenship on list position 20 and as a direct candidate in the Alstertal - Walddörfer constituency.

Radtke also features the logo of the "Fridays for Future" movement on his Facebook profile. However, the activists from FFF immediately distanced themselves from the left-wing candidate. “This person is not an active member of FFF Hamburg - and never will be again. He neither represents our values nor our positions, his behavior is shocking and cannot be excused, ”wrote the Hamburg branch on Twitter.
It was only in November that co-founder of the radical climate protection movement "Extinction Rebellion", Roger Hallam, caused outrage and headlines with statements about the Holocaust. Among other things, he described the mass murder of the Jews as "another fuckery in human history".
