For Thee, Not Me: De-fund The Police, But Not The Capitol Police

This past summer during the “free stuff” riots, voices in support of thuggery, theft, and murder protested against the police (and whiteness) by saying that police departments must be defunded and/or dismantled and/or abolished. By doing so, the wokesters stated that this will accomplish two important (i.e., absurd) goals:

1. that poc’s (people of colour) could go about their routine without fear of cops, and
2. honkey’s will feel uncomfortable because there will be no cops available to protect them when somebody is breaking into their home (after all, calling the police is done “..from a position of privilege…” [see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF_WKQ1SHfM])

So essentially, a police-free future was the message in the summer of 2020 by the likes of Leftists (including AOC).

Turn the clock ahead to January 2021 when Trump supporters peacefully protested at the Capitol Building. With this entry in the building, AOC said that she felt unsafe during this incident; in fact, she said:

...we came close to nearly half of the House dying on Wednesday… …..I can tell you that I had a very close encounter where I thought I was going to die…and you have all of those thoughts where, at the end of your life…all of these thoughts come rushing to you. And that’s what happened to a lot of us on Wednesday and I did not think – I did not know if I was going to make it to the end of that day alive…We were very lucky that things happened in certain minutes that allowed members to escape the House floor but many of us nearly and narrowly escaped death...

She went on to say that the Capitol Police did not do a good enough job protecting the political class from these angry honkey plebs; hence, she demanded more police protection.

So based on what AOC and other Leftists stated, we can conclude one of two things:

1. cops should only investigate honkey’s (and not interfere with poc’s), and/or
2. cops should only protect the political class, and leave the rest of us filth to fend for ourselves.

Whichever of the two it is, since AOC is a poc from the political class, she ensures herself being fully protected by the cops, whilst we peasants remain undefended in our homes and neighborhoods.

So basically, AOC’s position of defunding/dismantling/abolishing the police is “for thee, not me”.
