Luisa Neubauer from Fridays for Future to give Lenten sermon in the Berlin Cathedral

The climate protection activist Luisa Neubauer ("Fridays for Future") is a prominent guest at this year's Lenten sermon series at the Berlin Cathedral.

For six Sundays, well-known guest preachers and pulpit speakers will attend evening services to investigate the question of a meaningful future, as the cathedral administration announced on Tuesday in Berlin. The fasting sermons are under the annual motto of the cathedral "Meaning. Questions - How next?".

The prelude to the cathedral, Petra Zimmermann, will begin on Sunday with the topic "After the Flood". On February 28th, Luisa Neubauer will follow with a pulpit speech "Before concern" about the worries and fears of the young generation about climate change.

Other guests in the pulpit are Hildesheim Bishop Heiner Wilmer ("Dangerous Transition"), the Berlin provost Christina-Maria Bammel ("Back to the New"), the cultural representative of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), Johann Hinrich Claussen ("Out ins Weite ") and cathedral preacher Thomas Müller on the subject of "heirs of hope ". The services with singing and organ music are broadcast live on the cathedral's website " berlinerdom.de "
