BREAKING: Buffalo mass shooter threatened shooting at high school, was known to police, underwent 'mental health evaluation'

 

Payton Gendron, who has been accused of opening fire inside a Buffalo, New York supermarket, was known to New York State authorities for over a year as a potential threat to society, it has been revealed.

 

Gendron, who just recently turned 18, went into a supermarket in a predominantly black neighborhood in Buffalo on Saturday wearing tactical armor and armed heavily. He started firing into the crowd, killing ten people and injuring three others. All but two of the people hit by Gendron were black.  

Gendron had reportedly threatened to carry out a shooting at Susquehanna High School around the time of graduation, a law enforcement official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told the Associated Press.

Posobiec posted a portion of an Associated Press piece regarding Gendron, which states: 

 

"The shooter, identified as Payton Gendron, had previously threatened a shooting at his high school last June, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said the then-17-year-old was brought in for a mental health evaluation afterward."

 

According to the New York Post, "the semi-automatic rifle that was used to commit the massacre had the 'n-word' painted on the barrel, along with the number 14 [which has been associated with national socialism], officials told the local paper."
