Jutta Ditfurth: "The second abortion was the best"

Berlin - The publicist Jutta Ditfurth has demanded that paragraph 218 of the Criminal Code, which makes abortion a punishable offence, be deleted without replacement. "As long as women are not able to determine their sexuality and reproduction themselves and without interference and the threat of punishment from the state and religions, they are not free," she wrote on Twitter.

She backed up her claim on Twitter with a description of her three abortions. "The second abortion was the best," she described her experience in the Netherlands, where she said she had her unborn child die. "Amsterdam, modern, friendly, emancipated, no harassment." and she added, "We organized bus trips for unwanted pregnant women”.

She had previously aborted another baby. During this intervention in Hamburg, the doctor was "wonderful". However, a ward nurse "abused" her.

Antifascist saved her life
She had the third abortion carried out in Frankfurt am Main. "Extremely lousy treatment from the nurses in charge who talked all over me as I dozed off into the anesthetic," Ditfurth complained. We'll leave them there now, the doctor has to clean up this filth". In addition, she received too many narcotics and therefore collapsed on the way home. She found both the intervention and the previous mandatory consultation to be humiliating.

The publicist also reported having suffered a miscarriage in the past. At that time she was in the Italian mountains. An "old anti-fascist" allegedly saved her with "her syringe set from the partisan days".

Ditfurth: Don't regret abortions
In conclusion, she affirmed that she had never regretted any of the abortions. "Don't let your decisions talk you out. You know what is right for you.”

Numerous users reacted to Ditfurth's statements with confusion and outrage. These gave the impression that she was proud to have had an abortion. Other users accused her of resembling a succinct holiday report and misjudging the seriousness of such interventions.
