Spain’s Green Energy Grid Failed. We Could Be Next.


 

Spain’s electrical grid hit 100% renewable energy on Earth Day—and just days later, the country plunged into one of the worst blackouts in European history. Politicians like Al Gore and Gavin Newsom continue to insist that solar and wind are cheaper, more efficient, and will be our saving grace from the looming climate apocalypse, but the engineering reality tells a different story.
