James Bond is now a black woman

The British Lashana Lynch makes film history and will take over Daniel Craig's role as the new 007 in "No Time to Die".

There was already a lot of speculation in advance that the British actress could succeed Daniel Craig as 007 - now the 33-year-old has confirmed the news herself. Lashana Lynch becomes the first black woman to write film history in Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Bond goes into exile
The "Captain Marvel" star revealed the news during an interview with Harpers Bazaar. But she also makes it clear that her character, MI6 agent Nomi, won't be the new James Bond. She will only inherit the title 007 "while Bond himself is in exile".

So the only question left is: When will "No Time To Die" be in the cinemas or will it even be in the cinemas? Both Netflix and Apple TV + are said to have offered hundreds of millions of dollars so that the 25th Bond film, which has been postponed four times since April due to the corona virus, can go straight to streaming.
