The inconvenient Truth

Across the globe, the Harry and Meghan interview (inset) has divided families, communities and even nations. Here, the Mail lays bare the contradictions and inaccuracies at the heart of their interview, untangling fact from fiction. Among the claims made by Meghan during the interview were that it was she who was reduced to tears over the flower girls dress prior to her wedding in 2018, not Kate (top left) and that 'The Firm' attempted to keep her under effective house arrest (Meghan and Harry with the New York Yankees in 2019, bottom right). Even more curious were Harry's remarks when he told Oprah he was 'ashamed' of admitting to his family that Meghan needed help even though he had previously spoken of how he needed therapy to process his grief over the death of his mother (the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with Prince Harry during their Heads Together campaign, top right). The Harry and Meghan Oprah interview has divided families, communities and even nations and its fallout has been greater than anyone could have imagined.
