Only in Germany: Girl agrees to meet with thief so she can be robbed

Brandenburg police are looking for a man who is said to have robbed a 16-year-old in November 2020.

As the police announced on Monday, there should have been an attempted robbery between Zepernick and Bernau on November 19, 2020. A 16-year-old was riding her bike on an unpaved cycle path parallel to Elbestraße when an unknown man stopped her and spoke to her in accent-free German.

The 20 to 30-year-old man then grabbed the youngster by the arm, pushed her against a fence and asked for her valuables.

Since she had nothing with her, the stranger demanded that she should appear again on November 23 at the same place and give him 250 euros. She did, and on November 23 she gave him the money at the same place.

On both days, the unknown man left in the direction of the Zepernick S-Bahn station.
