Am I Privileged?

Written by John (the other John).

I am not labeled as being “privileged” because I did anything spectacular or because anybody gave me anything (to the contrary, my actions are quite average); but rather I am labeled “privileged” because my adversaries make fatal life choices by partaking in self-destructive behaviour and bad decision-making. With this, it makes my actions (relatively speaking) appear to being superior. For example, I may walk normal and mind my own business, but they walk backwards and are regressing. This is not my fault or my doing. I am not ahead because I am remarkable, rather I am ahead because they have shortcomings; but instead of them manning-up-to-this, their response instead is to belittle me because I do not join them in self-defeating behaviour. I am not privileged, but rather what I do is normal amongst my own by focusing on God, country, family, merit, hard-work, integrity, intelligence, intensity, discipline, honesty, etc...; to do the opposite will only destine a person to a hapless ill-fated future.

This does not make me “privileged”, rather, it means that they choose a self-defeating path.
