German Climate Minister Robert Habeck wants citizens to reduce shower time

Climate Minister Robert Habeck (Greens) wants to set a good example in the energy crisis: "I have significantly reduced my shower time again," he told the Der Spiegel.

"I've never showered for five minutes in my life. I'll take a quick shower."

In doing so, he adheres to what his own ministry recommends to the citizens. In his recently published energy saving tips for everyday life it says: “If we reduce our shower time to a maximum of five minutes and lower the water temperature (...) a little, we not only save hot water. In this way, we also help to save gas for water treatment. This is not only good for the environment, but also for our skin, as recommended by dermatologists.”

On June 10, the ministry launched the citizens' campaign "80 million together for the energy transition". The appeal to the Germans: save energy!
