Because of "racism": "The Young Chief Winnetou" is canceled in Germany

Ravensburg - Huge fuss about the new Indian book "The Young Chief Winnetou", which was recently released as a film: After left-wing radicals on social networks criticized the content as racism and cultural appropriation, the Ravensburger publishing house took the book off the market. "The Young Chief Winnetou" is no longer sold.

The novel, which ties in with the Karl May books, is about Winnetou's son, who follows in the footsteps of his father, who was created by Karl May. In a kind of kneel before the woke, left-wing extremist scene, Ravensburger, which is also known for its parlor games, explained on Instagram: “We would not make the decision to publish the titles today. We made a mistake at the time and we can assure you: we are learning from it!”

It goes on to say: “Our editors deal intensively with topics such as diversity or cultural appropriation. The colleagues discuss the consequences for the future program and revise our existing range title by title.”
