Poland estimates World War 2 damage at over 1.3 trillion euros
Warsaw - This emerges from a report presented on Thursday by the head of the Polish ruling party PiS, Jaroslaw Kaczynski. It is intended to provide the basis for possible claims for reparations from Germany. "Such compensations have been paid for decades," said Kaczynski.
They are "acceptable" for the German economy. The dispute over German reparations to Poland has been going on for years. The federal government rejects corresponding payments and considers the question closed.
