Promoting “Rights” vs. Promoting “Causes”: Is There A Difference?

Written by John (the other John).

Promoting “rights”- (ex. black people, gays)- ensuring that all people’s Constitutional rights are protected (ex., equal protection under the law, liberty, due process, freedom of speech, freedom from speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion, etc...)

Promoting “causes”- (for example)
  • black people- mandating that unwilling people affirm and celebrate (for example) multi-culturalism, DIE, inter-racial $€x, CRT, black supremacy, etc..., in which the intent is to humiliate AND to violate unwilling people’s right to have their own opinion
  • gay/trans people- mandating that unwilling people affirm and celebrate (for example) gay $€x, child grooming, body mutilation (eunuchs), gender is a choice, etc..., in which the intent is to humiliate AND to violate unwilling people’s right to have their own opinion
  • feminists- mandating that unwilling people affirm and celebrate (for example) that women are biologically equal or superior to men, men are all misogynists (unless they are gay or trans or non-white), etc…, in which the intent is to humiliate AND to violate unwilling people’s right to have their own opinion
