USA OWES CANADA $10B in Tariff Refunds: Canada Pivots To Europe as Trump's Tariff Plan BACKFIRES In His Face. Canada News Today: The United States owes Canada $10 billion, and Ottawa isn't asking nicely for it back. 

 

Trump's tariff plan just backfired in his face so spectacularly that the US Supreme Court struck down the IEEPA tariffs as illegal — forcing Washington to open a refund portal for the billions it unlawfully seized from Canadian exporters. And while the White House scrambles to pretend this was all part of the plan, 

 

Canadian aluminum producers have already pivoted to Europe, where they now command premium prices in a market that actually follows trade law. At the same time, 25 US States have sued over the new tariffs, calling them a pretext to replace the old ones.

 

So the White House is fighting on three fronts at once: refunding Canada, defending itself against its own states, and negotiating quota deals with Dominic LeBlanc while legally obligated to hand back billions. The country that placed the tariff is paying the most; the country that was supposedly being punished is fetching higher prices elsewhere. Who is winning now?
